Here's a sampling of some Valentine's Day cookies I made to send to my son and his wife in Vanuatu.

I individually wrapped each cookie, them wrapped all the cookies in a couple layers of bubble wrap. Hopefully, they will still be edible by the time they get there!!

  5. Ok. And I just have to know: Did your icing stay glossy? And if so, please spill the beans on how to get the icing to stay glossy! Please, pretty please!

  9. Allie, I don't use royal icing. I use a glaze. And after it dries it's not as shiny as it is in these pics. Not completely dull, but not "wet" shiny either. Also, I've used several different cookie recipes, one of which is on my blog. But I have to say I love the one I'm currently using. I got it from cookiecrazie.blogspot.com.
